Bradford (Park Avenue) continue their pre-season preparations tonight as they host a Huddersfield Town XI at the Horsfall Community Stadium.
Friday the 14th of July 2023 will see the Terriers taking to the Horsfall Community Stadium’s 3G Pitch to face non-league neighbours, Bradford (Park Avenue). The match kicks off at 7:30 pm.
In recent years, Avenue has had a strong relationship with the Terriers, having borrowed promising talents from Huddersfield Town’s youth teams on loan. Notable players include Shane Maroodza and David Adewoju from the 22/23 season, as well as Isaac Marriott, who initially joined on loan in 2018, signed permanently in August 2020. Isaac later transferred to Altrincham for an undisclosed fee in December 2021.
Avenue first faced off against Town back in September 1910, hosting a Division 2 game that ended in a 1-0 victory for the Terriers.
The club’s most recent recorded league or cup encounter took place on September 26th, 1962, when Huddersfield secured a 3-1 win in the League Cup.
Town also visited Bradford during our 2019/20 pre-season, resulting in a 2-2 draw. The Avenue goals were scored by Lewis Rathbone and Ryan Cresswell.
